Why not keep the larger 8ltr tank for frying your chips and use the 5ltr tank for frying foods with a strong flavour for examples garlic mushrooms samosas or Plaice fillets and keep your chip oil clean.

The cold zone of oil below the element helps to prolong the life of your oil meaning you don't need to change or drain each tank quite as often as similarly sized and powered models.
